Star delta water pump motor starting control box
Product Overview

This cabinet is a star-delta (Y-△) reduced-voltage starting control cabinet dedicated to water pumps. It is mainly used for start-stop control of three-phase water pump motors in water supply/drainage, chemical industry, HVAC and other working conditions. Based on the principle of reduced-voltage starting in star connection and full-voltage operation in delta connection, it reduces the impulse current of motor starting. Suitable for conventional industrial and building water supply/drainage pump units, it adopts original electrical components of CHINT and can be installed both indoors and outdoors.
 

Working Principle

At the moment of motor starting, the winding is connected in star connection to reduce voltage and limit current through coil voltage division. When the motor speed reaches the standard, the built-in time relay automatically switches to delta connection for full-voltage operation. Three AC contactors are used to switch star/delta wiring in time-sharing, and time-delay components are matched to accurately control the switching duration, realizing smooth starting of the water pump.
 

Application Scenarios

It is applicable to the control scenarios of three-phase asynchronous water pump motors such as municipal water supply and drainage pumping stations, factory circulating water pumps, central air conditioning cooling water pumps, chemical sewage pumps, and residential secondary water supply units.
