Generator Synchronization Panel
Working Principle
The working principle of the generator synchronization panel is based on the monitoring and adjustment of three key parameters: the voltage, frequency, and phase of the generator and the power grid. After the generator is started, the synchronization panel begins to monitor the voltage, frequency, and phase of the generator's output in real time and compares them with the corresponding parameters of the power grid.
When it is necessary to connect the generator to the power grid, the operator adjusts the generator manually or through an automatic synchronizing device according to the information displayed on the instruments and indicator lights of the synchronization panel. When the voltage, frequency, and phase of the generator reach the specified allowable range compared with the parameters of the power grid, the synchronization panel will give corresponding indications (such as the synchronization indicator light staying on or the phase meter indicating a phase difference of zero). At this time, the operator presses the closing button to close the circuit breaker between the generator and the power grid, completing the synchronous paralleling operation.
