Component Parts

- Power Module: Supplies stable DC power to the PLC and other cabinet devices. Equipped with overcurrent, overvoltage, and undervoltage protection functions to ensure power reliability and stability.
- Input/Output Module: Connects field devices to the PLC. The input module converts signals from field devices (e.g., buttons, sensors) into digital signals recognizable by the PLC; the output module transforms PLC control signals into drives for field devices (e.g., relays, contactors).
- Relays and Contactors: Control the on/off of external devices (e.g., motors, solenoid valves). Relays apply to low-current control circuits, while contactors suit high-current load control.
- Fuses and Circuit Breakers: Fuses provide short-circuit protection (melting to cut the circuit during a short circuit). Circuit breakers offer overload and short-circuit protection, manually or automatically cutting the circuit with functions like overload tripping.
- Human-Machine Interface (HMI): Typically a touchscreen or text display for operator-PLC interaction. Enables parameter setting, device status monitoring, and alarm information viewing.
- Cabinet: Installs and protects internal electrical components, featuring high mechanical strength and protection. Adopts standard sizes (e.g., 19-inch cabinets) for easy installation and maintenance.
