Working principle of capacitor compensation cabinet
When there are inductive loads in the power system, the current phase lags behind the voltage phase, generating inductive reactive power. The capacitors in the capacitor compensation cabinet have the ability to store electric charge, and their current phase leads the voltage phase. After connecting the capacitors to the power system, the leading reactive current generated by the capacitors cancels out the lagging reactive current generated by the inductive loads, reducing the phase difference between the total current and the voltage, and thus improving the power factor. In simple terms, it is to use the characteristics of capacitors to balance the reactive power in the system and make the power system operate more efficiently.
