Structural Composition
- Cabinet Body: Made of cold-rolled steel sheets. It has good mechanical strength and protection performance, capable of preventing dust and moisture. The cabinet door is equipped with a lock to ensure safety.
- Main Switch: Usually a molded case / frame circuit breaker, located at the upper part of the cabinet body. It controls the on-off of the total power supply and automatically cuts off the power in case of faults such as overload, short circuit, and undervoltage, protecting the equipment and lines.
- Branch Switches: Miniature circuit breakers. They control the power supply of each branch circuit, provide overload and short-circuit protection for the branches, and can be connected to different electrical equipment.
- Busbars: Colored metal bars made of copper / aluminum. They collect and distribute electrical energy, allocating the electrical energy from the main switch to each branch switch.
- Terminal Blocks: Connect incoming and outgoing cables, facilitating wiring and fixing, and playing a role in electrical isolation and protection.
- Indicator Lights and Buttons: Indicator lights show the circuit status (such as power on-off, fault alarm); buttons can be used to manually control circuit operations.
Working Principle
- Power Input: The 380V three-phase AC power supply is connected to the incoming terminal of the main switch via cables.
- Main Switch Control: Operate the main switch to turn the total power supply on or off. After closing, the electrical energy is distributed to each branch switch through the busbars.
- Branch Circuit Control: Branch switches control the power supply of branch circuits individually. When the equipment of a branch circuit starts, the corresponding switch closes, and the current drives the equipment through the switch and cables.
- Protection Function: In case of branch overload / short circuit, the corresponding branch circuit breaker trips to cut off the power; in case of a serious fault in the main circuit, the main circuit breaker acts to cut off the total power supply.
