Resistance Cabinet
- Internal Structure: The core component of this resistor cabinet is the aluminum-cased wirewound resistor, which uses nickel-chromium or iron-chromium-aluminum resistance wire as its core, filled with high-temperature-resistant mineral insulating material inside, and wrapped in an aluminum alloy shell with heat-dissipating fins outside. It not only undertakes the core functions of power consumption and braking energy absorption, but also quickly dissipates heat through the fins. Auxiliary components include insulated terminal blocks (color-coded red and blue) to enable standardized and safe connection between the resistors and external circuits. Meanwhile, the resistors are fixed on layered metal brackets, which reserve sufficient heat dissipation gaps. The cabinet body is made of rust-resistant, high-strength galvanized steel sheet, and the cabinet door is equipped with ventilation openings, which can cooperate with the resistor fins to form an air circulation channel and further enhance heat dissipation.
- Functional Features: The resistor structure of aluminum shell + heat-dissipating fins, combined with the cabinet door ventilation design, can efficiently dissipate heat generated under heavy load operation, avoiding overheating damage to components. The mineral-filled insulation scheme adopted by the resistor has a Class H insulation rating (withstanding temperatures above 180°C), and together with the standardized terminal block wiring, it greatly reduces the risk of circuit contact failure. The modular layered installation design supports flexible adjustment of the number of resistors according to actual load requirements, making later maintenance and expansion more convenient. The combination of the metal shell and vibration-resistant structure also allows it to adapt well to complex industrial environments such as vibration and dust.
- Application Scenarios: In hoisting and transportation equipment such as elevators, cranes, and tower cranes, it can be connected to the frequency conversion braking circuit to consume the regenerative electric energy generated by the motor when the equipment decelerates. In industrial drive systems composed of servo motors, frequency converters, and inverters, it serves as an energy-consuming braking unit to prevent equipment damage caused by overvoltage from regenerative electric energy. In new energy equipment such as wind turbine pitch systems and photovoltaic inverters, it acts as an energy consumption module to help stabilize the system voltage. At the same time, it can also be used as a simulated load for power supply test benches and aging test equipment to detect the actual load-carrying capacity of such equipment.
