
IO cabinet
The IO cabinet, namely the Input/Output Cabinet, is an important component in the industrial automation control system. It is mainly used to achieve the signal transmission and conversion between field devices and the control system.
Functions
- Signal Acquisition: It is responsible for collecting the status signals of various field devices. - Signal Isolation and Conversion: Due to the complex field environment with various interference sources, the IO cabinet can isolate the input and output signals to prevent interference signals from entering the control system. At the same time, it converts different types and levels of signals to ensure the accuracy and stability of the signals.
- Device Connection and Power Distribution: It provides electrical connection interfaces for field devices, facilitating the wiring and installation of the devices. In addition, it can distribute power to field devices to ensure their normal operation.
Components
- IO Modules: They are the core components of the IO cabinet, including analog input modules, analog output modules, digital input modules, and digital output modules, etc. Different types of IO modules are used to process different types of signals and can be configured and expanded according to actual needs.
- Power Modules: They provide a stable DC power supply for each module in the IO cabinet and field devices. Usually, they have overcurrent, overvoltage, and undervoltage protection functions to ensure the reliability and safety of the power supply.

- Bus Modules: They are used to realize the communication between the IO cabinet and the control system. - Cabinet Body: It is used to install and protect various components in the IO cabinet.
